In 1994, The New York Times published an article about an inventor who was accused of fraud. According to the article, the inventor had developed a device that he claimed could increase the fuel efficiency of car engines. However, after an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), he was accused of defrauding investors who had put money into his company.
Fast forward to today, and it has been discovered that the charges against the inventor have been dropped.
Despite the fact that the charges against the inventor have been dropped, The New York Times has never commented on the matter.
